The Contest
The contest will be conducted
according to FAI rules for F3F slope soaring. Each pilot
is allowed to register three models for the contest. The organizer
will try to run as many rounds as possible.
If more than
three rounds were flown the
lowest round score of each competitor will be discarded and the others added
to obtain the final score which will determine his position in the final
classification. If more than
fourteen rounds were flown, the two lowest round scores will be
discarded.
The award is for
individuals.
There will
be a team award and an
award for the best run.

The Slope
The venue of the contest is Ma On
Shan east slope which is located in the northeastern part of Hong Kong
territory. The flying site is 340m high with a spectacular view of the charming area of Sai Kung countryside.
The slope can be accessed by a 20-minute easy hike.

Please note
that there is a backup slope in Fei Ngo Shan for southerly wind. More
information is in
here.
Note that we have a few more slopes around the territory for different wind
directions, details will be given if needed.

The Weather
According to
Hong Kong Observatory meteorological record, the average temperature in early
October
is 24°C
and the average wind speed is 30km per hour easterly, the most favorable
condition for F3F. |

contest each day is earlier at 8:00am unless otherwise specified. Please see the current
