The Hong Kong Radio Control Soaring Society

Welcome to the home page of The Hong Kong Radio Control Soaring Society (HKRCSS). We are an active R/C glider club located in Hong Kong. Our goals are to promote the sport and science of radio control soaring of model sailplanes in Hong Kong and to organize local r/c soaring competitions. Regular meetings to discuss maters related r/c soaring are held.

Hong Kong is situated in the coast of Southern China, its territory is covered with beautiful green mountains overlooking the South China Sea. Wind coming unobstructively from the sea can generate strong slope lift when it hits the mountain. There are many fantastic slope soaring sites scattered around the territory. Our main flying sites are mostly slope sites, many of these are easily accessible. The best flying seasons are Autumn and Winter when northeast monsoon prevails. During Summer season, strong southerly or westerly wind coupled with occasionally thermal activities can provide us with ton of lift energy for all kinds of soaring activities. All-year flying is what we can offer.

Please feel free to tour around this web site. You can also see our latest information on the Hong Kong RC Sailplane forum and on the Facebook.
