Tsunamis Relief Donation Sale
January 1-5, 2005
The earthquake and
tsunami in South and Southeast Asia have so far taken away
some 130,000 lives. There are millions who had their homes,
livelihood, and lives laid to ruin. This is one of the
greatest calamities of our times. The surviving victims
desperately need our help.
HKRCSS has organized a donation
sale a week after the disaster happened on 26 December 2004.
There were over 55 items of good
donated by 16 fellow r/c
modellers. The auction hit the peak at the last moment of
auction period. Finally, we were able to generate a sum of
HK$47,740
of donation money. A
cheque in the name of Hong Kong Radio Control Soaring
Society was then issued to Hong Kong Red Cross South Asia
Relief Fund on 10 January 2005.
HKRCSS wishfully
thanks the donors and bidders for their generosity.
We believe the money can be put into
right use to save more lives and enable some of the victims to
rebuild their home.
We are proud of being one who are able to help.
A receipt from Red Cross
has been received on 24 Feb 2005.
