F3F
Slope Race in Fei Ngo Shan
11
July, 2004
|
|
|
A F3F slope was held in Fei
Ngo Shan south-facing slope
near the Jat's Incline Peak on Sunday, 11 July 2004. This is the first
time an F3F race was ever run in this slope.
The slope can provide very good lift in moderate
southerly wind. However, landing is quite a bit of challenging and the cost is
a high casualty rate! Apart from this, the event was a success and we would like to thank the
enthusiastic helpers and r/c soarers for their supports. Here is a short
report: The weather was generally fine
with moderate southerly wind of average speed of
25km/hr. Totally 13
pilots took part in the race which was started at 11:30pm and ended at
4:00pm. Five rounds of races
were completed. The best time is 46.50s by
Stanley Chan who also won the
race, congratulation! Due to a high accident rate, some
pilots can not finish all rounds, what's a pity! HKRCSS
would like to thank the sponsors Windrider Aviation Ltd. for their
generous support. Here are the detailed scores of the race:
