Scale Glider Fun Fly - September 4,
2011
HKRCSS organized a Scale Glider Fun Fly on September 4 of 2011.
Scale glider flying was very properly in Hong Kong many years ago.
Though the interest is not as much as that in before, many pilots still
own one or more scale gliders and take them out for flying once in a
while. The fun fly was a good chance for them to meet, to chat and to
fly together.
The venus was Clear Water Bay. Clear Water Bay is a very good place to
display the large scale gliders. It is a pity that the wind was not good
on the day, very weak and sometime dropped to 0! Many models just sit
on the ground all the day. Still, there were many pilots joined and
brought their beautiful models there. After all, scale flying is a kind
of relaxing and many of them just don't mind to wait, and it is a good
occasion to have so many scale models displayed together!
