Man-on-Man Slope Race

The Hong Kong Radio Control Soaring Society will hold a Man-on-Man (MoM) slope race in Clearwater Bay (easterly wind) or Fei Ngo Shan (southerly wind) on Sunday, 24 August 2008. This is the second official MoM race to be hold in Hong Kong after the first MoM race held 5 five years ago. There will be a 48" foamy class and a 60" conventional class.

The MoM slope race is an exciting race because of the fun and satisfaction it can provide to the pilots as well as onlookers. The race course is set along the face of the slope perpendicular to the wind. The race course should be at least 80 meters long for the smaller span classes and up to 200 meter length for the unlimited class. Any distance will work depending on the shape of the slope. There shall be 8 laps per heat race, that’s 16 legs with 15 turns. Winner is the first to complete the 8 laps. MoM is not a timed event.  The accuracy of the lap count is critical. Registration: Limited to 20 participants. Advanced registration preferred
