60" F3F
Slope Race in Ma On Shan
5
March, 2006
|
|
|
The Hong Kong Radio Control Soaring Society organized
a 60" F3F
slope race
in Ma On Shan on Sunday, 5
March 2006. The
weather God cried for the rain early in the morning.
Despite of rain, some diehard F3F fans insisted on
hiking up to the mountain and hope that the rain would stop later while
a few pilots stayed in the car park waiting for instruction by fellows
up in the mountain. Finally, after about an hour of wait, the rain
stopped! We immediately set up the equipment and the race was started
right after 12:00pm. The
wind speed averaged at 20km per hour, a
perfect condition for F3F. A total of
10 pilots
joined the race. After 10 rounds of intense
competition, the race was called off at 4:10pm. Wonderful! The winner of
the race is Au Chi Fai. Congratulation!
HKRCSS wishes to thank Steve Drake of US for
sponsoring a prize for the race. Here are the detailed scores
for the race:
