2011 Hong Kong F3F League - Match 5
Leung King Upper Slope, May 8, 2011


The fifth match for the 2011 Hong Kong F3F league was held successfully on Sunday, 8 May 2011 in Leung King Upper Slope. The weather forecast for the day was moderate southeasterly wind. The weather was generally fine with strong thermal activity. All 21 pilots arrived before 8am and the contest was able to be started at 8:00am sharp. Wind speed was very promisingly at an average of 7 m/s. Although Ah Mak forgot to bring his FR3's wing join, he managed to borrow a wing join from Ah Kin and took the lead in round 1 with a 41.59s. Donny crashed his Race-M during landing in round one. The wind seemed to drop a bit round 2 which was won by Philip with a 43.43s. With strong thermal activities, the third round saw some sub-forties; Lee Man with a 36.36s and CM with a 38.91s. In the forth round, Allan broke the barrier again to have a stunning 36.03s,  followed by Uncle Chan with a 36.82s. Ah Mak took round 5 with a 42.55s and also round 6 with another sub-forty 36.36s. Actually there were so many sub-forties in round 6. Nothing special in round 7 and 8 which were won by CM and Ah Mak respectively. 阿永 did very well in round 9 to have a stunning 36.09s. Philip took round 10 with a 39.01s. Round 11 saw new slope records were crated, first by Philip with a 35.58s, followed by Eric with a 34.29s just a few minutes later. Kenneth and Angus finally took the last two rounds with a 38.88s and 40.23s, respectively. The contest finally drew to a close at about 5pm with a total of 13 rounds completed.. The champion of the day is Philip, the 1st runner-up is Ah Mak and 2nd runner-up is Eric. Eric also won the best speed award with a 34.29s. Congratulation to all winners!
