2008 Hong Kong F3F League - Match 10
Ma On Shan, Oct. 12, 2008

The tenth match for the 2008 Hong Kong F3F league was held on Sunday, 12 October 2008 in Ma On Shan. The wind was strong easterly with speed average at 7 to 8 m/s. Wonderful! We have been demanding this kind of wind condition to have a decent competition for a long time! The wind God didn't play the trick this time and we were allowed to have the slope for a whole day without interference by other activities up in Ma On Shan plateau. Because of the predicted strong wind, most pilots arrived at the slope on time and the contest was started at 9:45am sharp with 17 pilots joining the race. Ah Kin was the first to fly with a sub forty at an average wind speed of 7m/s, wonderful! Stanley followed with another sub forty and finally took this round. The wind died down a bit to 5 to 6 m/s after round two but was picked up again after round 7. It was occasionally gusting at 13 m/s during rounds 9 and 10. Stanley performed consistently superb through out the contest followed by Ah Kin. Barry caught up fast after round 5 with a 42.94s at round 6. His RaceM was dashing through the sky with much authority. He bypassed Ah Kin at the last round and took the 1st runner-up prize. Ah Kin lost by a few points and got the 2nd runner up prize. Stanley took the champion with a convincing large margin. Y.C. caught a good wind on round 11 with a stunning speed run of 40.65s which enabled him to grab the speedy man title. This best speed record is the fastest so far for the year 2008. Congratulation!  The summary of the score table is shown below, for details, please check the score sheet.
