The fourth match of F3F League for the Year 2007 was held in Ma On Shan on
Tuesday, 19 June 2007. Strong east wind blew in the early morning but it
dropped suddenly before the pilots gathered at Ma On Shan at 9:00am. Average
wind speed was 3-5 m/s2 but with very unstable thermal cycles. The
thermal effect in fact had significant contribution the overall result rather
than the wind. Good results could be obtained in good thermal even though the
wind the weak. The race started at 10:30am and ended around 3:30pm after 9
rounds of race.
Ah So’s RaceM
had brilliant performance and took the 5th round with stunning 49.80s, which
was the only sub-fifty in the whole race! He then took the “Speed Man” award
of the race. Stanley
had consistent performance in the whole race and won with a narrow margin of
3 points. Even though Ah Pong had good start, he hit bad conditions in the
later race and finished in 2nd position. Ah Mak
took the 3rd with also consistent good result. YC, who had not appeared for
long time, still kept good performance with his brand new Aris.
Wing’s new Big Bird and Li Man’s DEMO showed their potential but Kin’s Ceres
still needed more practice.
