F3F Slope Race League - Second Match in Ma On Shan
4 February 2007

The second match of F3F League for the Year 2007 was held in Ma On Shan on Sunday, 4 February 2007. The weather forecast was good with easterly wind of force 4-5 but actual condition was once again disappointed. Average wind speed was less than 4 m/s2 and the race was suspended a couple of time due to the low wind speed. The race started at 10:30am, which was one hour behind schedule. The wind dropped further around 3:00pm after 7 rounds of race and the CD decided to end the race at 3:30pm.

Although the wind condition was not satisfactory, all 11 pilots managed to fly well with their thermal skills. It was an exciting race having 6 different leaders for 7 rounds. Ah Pong won the race with his brand new DEMO. He also took the 3rd round with stunning 49.60s, which was the only sub-fifty in the whole race! Stanley’s brand new Viking also had good performance and finished at 2nd position, even though it had not yet been trimmed properly and was flying like a freestyle-swimmer. Mak continued his good performance in first match and finished at 3rd position. Wai’s was 3 points behind with his consistence New Sting. Yeung’s Trinitiy F3B and Angus’s Skorpion also showed good potential. All planes flew safely and landed safely without any accident.

Congratulation to Ah Pong in winning the second match and other pilots with good performance. Special thanks to CM for building the remote handles of F3F timer. Although the range was still in adequate, it could be improved further for next match.
